The Demon Dart Beast Bag packages the 4-inch soft bait for repeat trips.

A bait for cover needs to reach the fish, move cleanly, and remain properly rigged after repeated casts. The 4-inch Demon Dart is designed as a durable soft-plastic option for that job. The Beast Bag gives anglers a larger supply when they want to keep the same bait in rotation.

Bass Fever Baits lists 50 baits per Beast Bag and an included pack of 5/0 screw-lock hooks. Choose a single-color or multicolor option according to the water you fish, and check the selected listing for its contents before ordering.

Rig it straight before you cast

Start by centering the screw lock in the bait's nose. Rotate the bait onto the keeper carefully so the nose stays aligned. Hold the hook beside the body to identify where the point should come through, then rig it without stretching or bunching the plastic.

Check the finished bait from the top and side. A bent body can twist during the retrieve. The hook gap also needs room for the plastic to move out of the way when a fish bites. Test that fit rather than assuming every hook works with every bait.

Choose cover you can fish effectively

Start with grass edges, openings in vegetation, and accessible wood. Put the bait near the likely holding spot while leaving yourself an angle to work it back out. A careful short cast often gives you more control than a long cast into the thickest cover.

Durability does not make a bait snag-proof, and the bait itself does not determine whether you can penetrate a dense mat. Weight, hook arrangement, line, and casting angle all affect how the rig travels through cover.

Give the bait time in the strike zone

Try a short pull followed by a pause beside an opening or edge. If fish are chasing, test a steadier movement through cleaner lanes. If the bait keeps fouling, inspect the rig and change the angle before adding more speed.

Watch the line during pauses. A small tick, sideways movement, or an unexpected change in weight can signal a bite. With a weedless single-hook setup, take up slack and use a firm hookset matched to the hook, line, and cover.

Check the rig after every fish

Inspect the nose, hook channel, and body. Re-rig or replace a damaged bait when it stops tracking properly. Collect torn plastics and packaging instead of leaving them in the water or on the bank.

If you enjoy fishing a soft plastic around cover, explore the Demon Dart Beast Bag collection. Choose a color for your local water, then focus on accurate casts and a retrieve you can repeat.
