The Slammin Stick Sac offers a larger pack of 5-inch stick worms.

A stick worm earns space in a tackle box because it can be fished simply and adjusted to many situations. With the 5-inch Slammin' Stick, you can start with a straightforward presentation, watch how the bait falls, and add weight or movement when conditions require it.

Bass Fever Baits makes the Slammin' Stick with a salt-free, phthalate-free plastisol blend. Treat those as material details, not a reason to leave a damaged bait in the water. Retrieve loose plastics whenever possible and collect worn baits for proper disposal.

Start with a weightless Texas rig

For shallow water and accessible cover, a weightless Texas rig is a practical presentation to test. Choose a hook that fits the body and leaves enough gap for the plastic to clear on a bite. Rig the worm straight, with the point positioned to reduce snagging when appropriate.

Cast near an edge, opening, or other likely holding spot. Let the worm fall on controlled slack and watch the line. If it jumps, moves sideways, or stops falling sooner than expected, a fish may have picked it up.

Do not assume this bait falls exactly like a heavily salted stick worm. Check its sink rate beside you and allow enough time for the depth you are fishing.

Add weight for control

When wind, current, or depth makes a weightless presentation hard to manage, add an appropriate weight. Start with enough to reach the target while maintaining the fall and movement you want. More weight is useful when it improves control; it is not automatically an improvement in every situation.

The product listings also identify ball-head, shaky-head, Ned, and Neko presentations. Each changes how the bait reaches and moves through the water. Pick a method that fits the cover and the hook rather than trying every rig in one short session.

Let pauses do some of the work

After the bait settles, move it a short distance and pause again. If you get bites on the initial fall, make another cast to a similar target. If fish respond after the first movement, repeat that sequence deliberately.

On a weedless Texas rig, take up slack and set the hook firmly. With an exposed finesse hook, use a more controlled sweep matched to your line and tackle.

Stock the colors you will use

The Slammin' Stick Sac collection includes larger packs in several colors. Pack counts can vary by listing, so check the exact option you select. Browse individual Slammin' Sticks or the Sac collection, then build confidence in one presentation before expanding your lineup.
